The Story
Arina and Iji had a fairly peaceful life in Akato Village, but they soon found their lives turned upside down when a fire mage appeared, leaving nothing but destruction in her wake.
Just when things seem to be calming down, Arina finds herself pulled into the middle of a 300-year-old conflict, where she must find a way to stop the emergence of a dark power…
This story is approximately 10 chapters long, with a few side stories as I feel like writing them.

Quick Questions
- Why did you rewrite the story?
- Short answer, I hated the stuff I initially did for the web, and I kinda wrote myself into a corner sometimes. While the story is complete [and on paper], it’s hard when re-writing sometimes because I ended up omitting things or leaving plot holes… Yep.
- Can I find the old versions online somewhere?
- Yes! Please check here!
- Critique. Do you mind if I give some?
- Nah, not at all. If you’re uncomfortable with leaving comments on pages, please feel free to email me with your critique.
Just uh, try to keep it constructive?
- Nah, not at all. If you’re uncomfortable with leaving comments on pages, please feel free to email me with your critique.
- Why do your hiatuses / breaks take so long sometimes?
- Hoo-boy. Well, to start, I’m still in college, and I’m busy a lot. I try to keep up with things by having a stable backlog, but that doesn’t always work. To add to that, I’ve got carpal tunnel and other issues, and if I need to make the choice between doing my schoolwork and drawing a comic, it’s going to have to be schoolwork for the time being. Otherwise, I will try to keep the update schedule as regular as possible!
- When did you start writing this story?
- Ah… I think I 2003? I’ve been working on it for a looong time now (on-and-off). Regardless of how it goes, I’ll be eager to finish this story sometime. (I’m hoping that’s in the next year or two…)
…More added as they’re asked.
